We have extended the application date to 21st June for this bursary which aims to encourage young pipers who do not have easy access to a piobaireachd teacher to learn piobaireachd. The two successful applicants in 2012 were very positive about their experience of a week of expert tuition focusing on Piobaireachd sponsored by the Piobaireachd Society. The successful applicant will get 1 week of tuition at the College of Piping and help with accommodation and travel expenses if required. Candidates should be between 14 and 18 and preference will be given to those who live outside the central belt of Scotland The schedule for the week will be:
Monday - arrive am, tour of premises, introduction to tutor, classes begin. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thusday - classes morning and afternoon with time set aside for practice and research. Friday - classes, certificate presentation where appropriate, assessment and farewells.
