Annual Conference 2011

The annual conference will be held in Fisher’s Hotel Pitlochry on the weekend of 26/27 March, NOT the weekend of 19/20 March as previously advertised. The conference begins at 0930am on Saturday and finishes at lunchtime on Sunday. The cost of attending the conference and staying in the hotel is £145 for a single room or £125 if you share a twin or double room. First come gets first choice of what is available. This covers 2
nights accommodation and all meals on Saturday up to and including breakfast and morning tea/coffee on Sunday.

The cost for attending the conference for those not staying in the hotel is £20, and if they wish to have dinner on Saturday evening the cost is a further £20.

John Shone The discovery of a manuscript by the great John MacDonald of Inverness?

Captain Steven Small 100 years of the Army School

The set tunes for 2011 will be presented and demonstrated by Decker Forrest, Bill Wotherspoon, Stewart Samson and Jack Taylor.

The conference will preceded in the same venue on Friday evening 25th March by the College of Piping Lecture. The title is “Where now for Ceol Mor?” and the speaker will be Dr Jack Taylor. The pipers are Gordon Walker and Douglas Murray.
