Archie Kenneth Quaich Competition 2010
The eighteenth annual competition for amateur piobaireachd players for the Archie Kenneth Quaich was held in the relaxed atmosphere of The Royal Scottish Pipers’ Society’s rooms in Edinburgh on Saturday 6th March 2010. The Piobaireachd Society sponsors the competition.
There was a good entry of 25 players and the competition was judged by Mr Ronald Clark and Mr Ronald McShannon. Once again, it was a most enjoyable occasion.
The results were as follows:
1st Tom Peterkin, Edinburgh, playing “Lament for the Little Supper”
2nd Eric McKimmon, Edinburgh, playing “Clan Campbell's Gathering”
3rd Andrew Frater, Uphall, playing “The MacGregors' Salute”
4th Alan Forbes, Edinburgh, playing "Lord Lovat's Lament"
5th John Frater, Darlington, playing “Lament for MacSwan of Roaig”

The seventeenth annual competition for amateur piobaireachd players for the Archie Kenneth Quaich was held in the relaxed atmosphere of The Royal Scottish Pipers’ Society’s rooms in Edinburgh on Saturday 7th March 2009. The Piobaireachd Society sponsors the competition.
There was a good entry of 22 players and the competition was judged by Dr Jack Taylor, President of the Piobaireachd Society, and Mr Roddy MacLeod, Principal of The National Piping Centre. Once again, it was a most enjoyable occasion.
