Information

Composed by Donald MacLeod

Judges Note 2026

A melodic long tune, with varying configuration of similar motifs making memorisation difficult. The importance of sensitive timing of the BCA figure (bar one, and repeated throughout the tune) was emphasised. In Donald Macleod's light music book V1 line 2 begins with C. This is considered an error.
The D gracenote on Cs and Bs and the plain E at phrase ends in Taorluath and Crunluath singlings were noted to be what the composer intended.
