Information

According to Alex Haddow in "The History and Structure of Ceol Mor" there are traditions connecting this tune with two sea lochs in Skye. The first of these is Loch Sligachan, which also has a traditional link with The Old Men of the Shells and the other is Loch Aint, where Padruig Mor had a croft. The connection with Loch Nell may possibly be discounted as there is another very fine tune of this name. The composer or the date of composition is not known.
