Teachers and Judges

The Society has a long history of support for piping, focusing mainly on education, workshops, performance opportunities (such as recitals and competitions), and publishing music and reference books. 

We offer promoters grant funding to help support their activities. As part of our grant funding terms, we ask that successful promoters consider hiring individuals who are Society members, further enabling us to support our membership and adding to the prestige of any event.

In order to simplify this process, we publish this list for each area/country. Everyone on the list is a member of the Society and has agreed to have their name entered on it. Event planners can reach out to us privately for contact details. This list makes it much easier for organisers to find people in their locality, and allows us to promote our members. Please email treasurer@piobaireachd.co.uk if you would like to join the list.

Judges
The Society does not have its own list of accredited adjudicators. However many of its members are judges and are accredited by outside bodies. Accredited lists of judges, which include most of those listed above, are maintained by the following organisations:
British Columbia Pipers Association
Easter United States Pipe Band Association
Pipers and Pipe Band Society of Ontario
Solo Piping Judges Association (UK only)
Western United States Pipe Band Association
The majority of those listed by these associations will be members of the Piobaireachd Society. There are PS members who judge but are not members of these listed organisations. Other piping and pipe band associations will have information about judges in their local area.
