MacArthur-MacGregor Book – digital edition
£8.00
This book was first published in hard copy in 2001. It was a critical edition of the manuscript noted down by John MacGregor from the singing of Angus MacArthur, one of the last pipers to MacDonald of Sleat, Skye. The work was done under the supervision of music enthusiast Andrew Robertson in 1820. This digital version of the book was made possible thanks to permission from the original publishers.
It contains facsimiles of the original MS, a scholarly analysis by Frans Buisman and then an edited, performing text of the 30 tunes by former PS President Andrew Wright.
Digital versions are intended for use on iPads and other electronic devices. Download attempts are limited to three and expire after 30 days. This is a large book of 220 pages. Please ensure your email provider has maximum capacity for downloads. Please be aware that downloads can end up in junk or spam folders.
