Hail To My Country

Information

The composer of this tune is General C S Thomason who produced Ceol Mor A new and abbreviated system of Musical Notation for the Piobaireachd as played on the Highland bagpipe in 1901.   Thomason was the first President of the Piobaireachd Society and Ceol Mor was the forerunner of the PS collection.  The centenary of his death was marked in 2011.

This tune has been published in PS Book 16 where it is noted that the tune, though relatively modern, has always been popular with pipers.
